Lovely big room with beautiful modern bathroom, big tree outside window and view of town. Staff were helpful. Excellent dinner. Easy parking.
Furnishings in public rooms rather dated.

The premier room was large in size, lovely and comfortable, modern with tea/coffee making facilities and flat screen TV. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were very nice, plenty of choice and quality food. The location was very good, next to Ventnor gardens and a short distance from the botanical gardens.
The twin-bedded room was small, rather dated and airless; definitely worth paying the extra for the premier.

The staff on reception were warm and helpful. The breakfast was enjoyable. The bed was comfortable.
There was no attachment for the shower which was in the bath without a screen. I would have preferred a stand up shower. The interior decor was very old and dark looking and was very off putting. Likewise the decor of the dining room felt dark and old fashioned. I was dissapointed that the jaccuzzi that I was looking forward to using had been shut off early and was reported to be warm rather than hot. Likewise the pool that I had though about using I wastold was full of leaves. The bed in the bedrom was very short and my daughter found it too small. If my husband had been with me he would jhave asked to change rooms. Also he would have been very upset with the lask of a stand up shower. The televion was sat on a dressing table and looked out of [place and the instructions for the tv were not accurate. When I tried to ring the reception the phone did not connect and was not answered, so I had to go downstairs. The parking area was very restrictive and off putting. The exterior of the hotel looked dark and off putting.

The staff were friendly and helpful
There was no internet access. My television didn't work properly, the sink wouldn't empty and the phones were out of order. There was a damp smell everywhere.

WE really enjoyed the food. Dinner on both nights was excellent. We were glad we decided to stay in so I could have a drink and not drive.

1. The kids loved the heated outdoor pool. 2. The pool table was appreciated, but would have been if a) it was free and b) the cushions were in better condition and the white ball the correct size. 3. The reason for choosing the Eversley was availability of rooms, but we were pleased with our choice. Location (see above) is, of course, very subjective, but good for the nearby beach and Blackgang Chine.
Unfortunately, the kids were upstairs (room 30) and we were downstairs (room 1) and their phone was not working, which involved a lot of climbing to check on them from time to time. However, I understand this was a temporary fault (the phone, that is!) and the excercise was probably good for me. 3. Inadequate facilities for drying towels and wet clothes after swimming. I also commented to staff that the depth of the pool should be indicated at each end for safety reasons.

The welcome was personal and friendly and yet efficient. All staff encountered were most polite and helpful. The premier room I shared with my grand daughter was excellent, the beds were very comfortable. Evening meals served in the dining room were of a high quality although sometimes there was a longer wait than seemed necessary for the main course. This is an excellent family hotel for children over 5 years,

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
The 'luxury' double room had two single beds pushed together with thin old mattresses that were very uncomfortable. The pillows were also cheap and thin. Something that would not cost a lot to fix but made a big difference to us as neither of us had a good night's sleep because of this.

It's not perfect, but It's nice
A nice stay with friendly staff and a lovely pool was a highlight! The small double room was spacious, clean, and equipped with tea, coffee, and bottled water. Breakfast offered great choices, perfect for starting the day. The only drawback was inconsistent shower pressure. Would definitely recommend this charming spot for a leisurely getaway!
